Does anyone suffer from frequent out breaks of cold sores. Not sure whether this is related to ET or something else

suspect it's something else. I have ET and have had a cold sore for 68 years but, since diagnosis and medication (HU), it has not broken out. Do have sore tongue and mouth plus the odd 'outbreak' on my lip which I feel is due to the HU. However, no cold sore - thank heaven.

I have PV and have noticed an increase in mouth sores which do go away quite quickly and sore areas on outside around mouth which do go away when treated with astral cream if caught early.

Hi Ginny11, you should get some advice from your GP as cold sores are usually caused by a virus so you should go and get them checked. Maz

Hi,

I have never in my life had a cold sore.

I do get sores in my mouth now a days, they are not cold sores. My husband is a dentist and he says they aren't cold sores and he should know. Also, I was sent to the dermatologist, and he said he doesn't know what they are.

They do come quick, last a day or so and then just disappears.

When I have mentioned this to my Haemo-Doctor, she just says "Aha..".

So, I am no help here am I?
