Dont worry too much about the fatigue (although its horrible!) you will just wake up one morning with a spring in your step........ I promise.

Might not be able to establish definitively because people are different states of health, age, fitness. I was diagnosed PV 3 years ago, in good health, good basic fitness, 59 and have had no headaches. Fatigue is more difficult to say because there can be other reasons for fatigue, including psychological, work, weather etc etc but I have had no fatigue related to PV as far as I can see. I had been feeling some fatigue before I was diagnosed. My hgb was high at 21 but I couldn't really say the fatigue was related. If I were you, I would concentrate on keeping in good health, stay active and try to keep your mind of symptoms.

I agree with PVPVPV in so far as I believe that different people respond in different ways to having PV and that overall fitness, diet, work load etc will impact in different ways. Also I believe that PV can be more 'full on' for some than others. Also some will respond better to treatment than others. It's a complex and strange condition. I was experiencing dizzy spells, mild stomach pain (enlarged spleen as it turned out), short spells of blurred vision (scintillating schotoma) and other mild non-specific symptoms prior to diagnosis but I can't honestly say that I was experiencing fatigue. 7 years on and maybe there is some mild fatigue, but then again I turn 50 this year.... so maybe I'm just feeling my age a little.
