Pre MF?
Hi. That’s my diagnosis too and my understanding is it’s when there’s a very low level of scarification in our bone marrow. Like 0 up to level 1. I’m also JAK2 +. But I can’t define it better, sorry. Katie
There is a list of criteria in Table 2 of:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
But this Dx is still fairly new and not entirely settled.
Hi Jewels I was diagnosed with post Pv preMf last year and eventually Secondary Myelofibrosis, after months of uncertainty and thinking life was. Not long left in front of me the change from hydrocarbonide to ruxolitinib has finally settled and although fatigue is not good, I am coping okay apart from the nights when I'm awake for 3 or 4 in the night. Hope things go well for you 🙏 Mick
I was diagnosed prefibrotic MF (after a BMB). I was originally diagnosed as ET w/o BMB. Here's good description in the video/transcript link below.
A leading MPN specialist, Dr Ruben Mesa, describes it as more like ET's cousin rather than a close relative of overt Primary MF.

My diagnosis is unclear between ET and pre-fibrotic MF (seeing an MPN specialist in October and hoping for clarification)
That video you linked was really helpful and is better news than some of the articles I’d read. Thank you so much for posting that!
