Inflammation, injury, and bleeding can all increase your platelet count. Some people do find that stress/anxiety seems to do so too. This would make a certain amount of sense since we know that stress can increase the production of inflammatory cytokines and inflammation increases platelet production. I expect we are all a bit different in this and there are multiple factors in play, including how you deal with stressors.
I expect the answer to your question needs to include more factors than stress. How likely is this work and the related driving to cause inflammation or injury? What level of stress does the work involve? are you exposed to environmental toxins that may be a concern? etc.
Hopefully others will weigh in with their experiences as this is an issue that concerns many of us.
