Not a great start to the year is it? However I don't know what the alternative is. I was still more or less shielding anyway. I haven't been anywhere or mixing, as I'm retired it is a lot easier for me than someone of working age with children. I didn't get a shielding letter last time, so don't expect one this time either. Just got my fingers crossed for the vaccine, but goodness knows when I'll get that. Stay safe!

Me too. Am not sure where Boris thought I had been all these past months 😃. Before ever my first shielding letter arrived I had a call from the Haematology department telling me to shield. Their advice has never changed. Letters “from” Matt Hancock have arrived with each change in restrictions - though to be fair they did take on more of a tone of “advice” recently rather than “do-or-die”. Anyway, back into the bunker now with this lockdown if only for the sake of my lovely friends and neighbours who are keeping me reasonably sane - (I live on my own with no family in this country). I could not have been more supported both my them and by the Hospital. Chin up everyone. 🌈

Ive worked from home since March and have been shielding so no change there

I too have been shielding since March on advice from my Haematologist.

I've never received a letter to shield. I just shield as best I can. Only go out to walk the dog and once a week shopping that I can't get on an online big shop. Bring on the vaccine, but like others could be way down the pecking order . Keep safe.

Hi I had my shielding letter but I did ring up my doctors when first started and said yes we do need to sheild with condition we got every since then I've been receiving shielding letters but well at least can go for a walk to get bit of fresh air better to be safe than sorry really while we wait to be vaccine which a think we should most probably be done in February but am not 100 percent sure just going on what I've heard could change yet u never know with Boris but am still bit like is it safe for us to have done with condition we have got,so am still like half and half if a would get it done or not but most probley will just me thinking so Xxx

I think it will be a tough one this time-- or are our governments just scare-mongering ?

It is more difficult to be locked up when it is so dark, but soonish it is spring and anti virus jab time (hopefully), so.....
