Morning everyone... :D

This is an an interesting short 'Zoom' discussion held by Andrew Schorr, Dr Jaimeson, Dr Scott, Nurse McAlpin, and a number of MPN patients.

The video is approx. 13mins. in duration, and the talk provides a range of insights from why it is that MPNs are considered to be blood cancers of the bone marrow, aspects of how they are diagnosed, why prognosis is relatively difficult, and why we should all remain hopeful and optimistic, as today people are generally living longer with an MPN.

Hoping that you will find this insightful...

Stay safe & well...

Steven

Not at all Steve, you are the one who deserves all the thanks.

I have often wondered how many hours you must spend pouring over journals and other scientific papers.

I have to admit that since my diagnosis almost five years ago, much of the scientific jargon is way over my head.

It has been enormously helpful to have another lay person’s view. Much easier for me to understand.

Take care, keep well and thank you again.

Hi Steve,

If you ever have time, I would love to hear which dietary regime you use.

I tried a ketogenic diet. I bought all the things I would need, but did not get on with it in fact, I hated it.

Having read the posts, I am about to start fasting on Sundays. I chose this day because if I don’t eat, I sometimes feel a bit lightheaded and get slight shakes in my hands. So at home it would be easy to manage. I don’t go out much on Sundays.

I’m also going to try some aerobics.

Everything is still in lockdown here, so i’ll Google some aerobic exercises for the 70s plus.

Thanks again for all your help.

Kindest regards,

Marcia🌞
