is there any connection between gamma-glutanyl transferase enzyme values and JAK 2? Present value went to 70.

The ggt value can be indicative of many possibilities but mine went up just recently--though all other lab tests are normal. Would appreciate response.

I'd pass this by your doctor and demand further tests & an explanation. Something is interfering with your liver.

Hi gamma GT is a liver enzyme. 70 is just above normal range of usually up to 50. I wouldn't panic too much as only slightly raised. Sometimes this one can go up with alcohol consumption but not always. Mine was raised at diagnosis >100 but has settled down although still not quite back to normal yet. They'll probably recheck it in few weeks time and if still raised they may arrange an ultrasound and some extra blood tests, but depends on your consultant. Good luck and try not to worry too much
