It's not really an issue in the great scheme of things, but does anyone know if it's ok to dye my hair whilst taking Hydroxicarbamide?

Don't know but, if this is relevant, my hair has got thinner since have been on HU. Also, have virtually no hair on upper lip anymore (never did have a great deal but even so there's a good side to everything!). Sallie

Hi, I have been on it for about a year and half and I dye my hair every couple months and nothing has happened. It's been fine. Hope this helps. X

Hi Piggie50, we have been asked this question before, it is ok to dye your hair as long as you follow the advice on the packet with regards to strand tests or if you have your hair dyed at a salon that they also carry out a strand test. Regards, Maz.

Hi Jo L,

Goodness, you must come a long way for your appointments. Whereabouts in Cornwall are you? Who do you see at the rd&e? I am in Dr Hamilton's clinic and my appointments are always on a Thursday morning usually every 8 weeks, but monthly at the moment. I have PV with ET. There don't seem to be many of us in this part of the world.
