Hi, I have had PV diagnosed for over a year and not on meds apart from antihistamines. I get foggy and light headed times, especially closer to venesection time. Hope this helps. Kind regards Aime

Hi, I have PV, on hydroxy and clopidogrel, plus other meds for stomach problems. I get really bad brain fog at times it's so frustrating at work, but thankfully they are understanding. Also at times get lightheaded, I normally just rest and wait till it passes you have no choice really. I have found I can't take information in and trying to fill in a simple form as become a frustration. I'm sure were not alone. Take care Regards Debbie

Hi

Don't worry - we're all in the same boat!

I was diagnosed 4 years ago with PRV and am on hydroxicarbamide (2 on 4 days/ week and 1 on 3 days/week) and am most definitely very foggy brained.

I even asked a lady the other day if we'd met before - I've met her at least 6 times and saw her at the theatre the night before......she gave me a very odd look.

A good question I think for the patients day at St Thomas' on the 16th Nov if anyone's going?

Best wishes, Louise

Hi All, talk about brain fog. At work trying to find an email, got to the end of the inbox list and then forgot what I was looking for. Should have used "search" straight away, before I forgot what I was looking for!! Regards Aime

Oh gosh yes to the 'foggy' brain and light headed feeling plus the spinning - all seems to be par for the course. Can be quite frightening so just remember lots of us experience it too. Is your husband drinking plenty of water? It's the first thing I do to try and help the feeling - drink more water!

I am going to try and make the 16th November at St Thomas's, Louise.

Best wishes

I'm on aspirin and venesections. Get foggy brain and not as sharp on the uptake as I used to be. Yes drink plenty of water 2 to 3 litres a day.
