Hi BookerBay

I started meditating when diagnosed with ET 1 year ago. I meditate 15-20min every morning on waking and before, radio, tv, phone or computer is on. It really works at lowering the platelet count. Hopefully this will also work for you.

TY. Are you on any meds for ET?

Hi BookerBay, I have PV not ET but find reading, walking (as far as fatigue allows) and watching the tv de-stressers. Also meeting up with friends (if fit to do so) and speaking to folk on this forum helps greatly. Just remember you are not alone. Kind regards Aime

Im 47 female on 500mg HU one day and 1000mg HU every other day. Without the meditation my platelet count remains stable. With the meditation I can lower it. Its down to 423 now. It is a challenge to set aside 30min every morn and I am still learning to meditate as I find this a challenge also, but it is sooooo worth it. Try it, hopefully this helps you too.
