I'm about to try...I'm really suffering now with PV & Spondylosis & wondered if there any pitfalls with the application I should be aware of?
Hi, has anybody with PV have experience of apply... - MPN Voice
Hi, has anybody with PV have experience of applying for Attendance Allowance (DLA for the under 65s)?
I have been recently approved for DVL. I have ET, "foggy/chemo brains and hip problem, use crutch to walk. My experience with DLA application was good. I took time (one month) to apply and answered to MOST POSSIBLE detail all questions, which is very important so that they can evaluate your need. There are no pitfalls, just concentrate, think through all and take your time to make sure that all is included. I even went and counted my steps to figure out my ability how far I can walk, how your situation is making you feel, what is been your experience, etc.. The more details you put is better, work with your GP and Haematologist and all other doc's, medical professionals you are involved with. Don't worry if you repeat yourself thought answering questions. Good luck, I wish you success.
Hi Fleetpete
I have ET and other problems and i rang my local citizens advice bureau. How glad i am that i did, the lady who helped me fill in the form was brilliant. She also advised us to keep a copy of your form once filled in as it is all too easy miss things out if you need to re-apply, she even copied it for us without our asking.
Just like light i also got an answer within the month.
Good luck and I wish you well.
