More to Life Webinar - The Power of Adventure to Change Your Life for the Better - Wednesday 1st November 7.30 - 8.30pm

Jessica Hepburn is an award-winning author, arts producer and adventure activist who has become one of the UK’s leading voices on fertility and family, as well as endurance sport. Diagnosed with ‘Unexplained Infertility’ in her 30s, Jessica experienced 11 rounds of unsuccessful IVF followed by separation from her partner. Her first book - The Pursuit of Motherhood - charted her journey through multiple rounds of unsuccessful IVF. This was followed by 21 Miles in which she explored whether ‘motherhood makes you happy’ and if she needed to find an alternative route to parenthood or could have a fulfilling life without children.

Despite her unsuccessful fertility journey, Jessica was the first woman in the world to achieve the Sea, Street, Summit Challenge (swim the English Channel, run the London Marathon, and climb Mount Everest). She says that everyone has their ‘sad stuff’ - hers is she couldn’t have a baby with the man she loved. However, going on an adventure - whether it’s high and far away or closer to home and in your head - will always change your life for the better.

Her new book - Save Me from Waves - is coming out next March 2024 marking the third and final part of a trilogy of work with her childlessness and its heart. Jessica was also the Founder of Fertility Fest - the world’s first arts festival dedicated to the science of making and not making babies in the modern world and has undertaken a series of major physical and mental endurance challenges to raise money and awareness in the field of fertility - including swimming the English Channel, running the London Marathon, and climbing Mount Everest. She has become a pioneer in inspiring people to live big and bravely when life doesn’t go to plan and championing the benefits of going on adventures to improve your physical and mental health.

Following her keynote presentation at Storyhouse Childless Festival in September 2022, Jessica will be re-giving her talk on the power of adventure exclusively for Fertility Network UK during Fertility Week.
