Just over 2 years ago i used to get left headed migraines that would be so bad that if i stood up for any short or long period of time they i would be sick, and not be any to keep any food or liquid down, the imigran and anti-sickness medician that i was on didn't work, and i would quite literally spend the day and night in bed only getting up to feed and or let the dogs out into the back garden, usually having to head back upstairs to be sick during the feeding/letting out process.
These left headed migraines then changed to not making me sick and knocking me flat on my back to being annoying and being more or less able to put up with them and function reasonably well.
Well as of tuesday the left headed migraines have reverted back to the same state 2yrs ago, i had forgotten how bad they can be. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had migraines that have evolved as they do but then reverted to (not sure what the right word is here) type/style that they used to be. Over the years mine have evolved but never evolved and then reverted back again and this is a little scary. The doctor isn't really bothered whether they change, get worse, better or what ever.
Any info, help and experiences would be useful. Thank you.

My migraines have changed a lot over the years and I know from fellow migraineurs they have the same experience.
Pain/auras/length of attacks seem to change all the time, bouncing back and forth to symptoms/types you recognise to new symptoms. I think this is all part of the life of the migraine, possibly affected by hormones and life impacts as we grow older. Our bodies are dynamic, as are migraines.
As you've had these symptoms before with migraine, that could be why your GP is not worried - they should be aware that migraines can change a lot in a persons life. If you are really worried about them, and they are becoming more frequent and difficult to control, then perhaps you could consider going to the NMC if you have not already been?
I can totally sympathise with you, in the beginning I only ever got right headed ones then I started getting left headed ones which were identical to yours, would spend whole day and night in bed, only had to be vertical for less than 30seconds and I'd be sick, unable to keep anything down, they then changed like yours to just being painfully annoying. I've only had one incident since then where a left headed one has made me sick and stay in bed.
So sorry to hear yours have returned to the way they used to be. My migraines constantly evolve I always hope the left headed ones won't revert but they have shown me they can when they wish to. Hope things improve for you.
