If I am turly honest I think I have been depressed for years since I was 11 years old but really came on when I hit 12/13 years old, I am 48 now. It was only diagnosed when I was about 23 and it was then classed as postnatal as I had just given birth to my daughter but I knew it was just deep depression. It's something I think I will always have and I do believe some forms are hereditary as it goes back a long way on my fathers side of the family.

I have probably had depression since 11/12 but only got treatment in 1999 but things got worse in 2009 and i was off work sick for 10 weeks and since then i have really been struggling. I am on medication (duloxetine 90mg). but i have no other help or support and so things are extremely difficult. i hate the waiting to be seen by other professionals and wish there where groups or something available to those who work full time as i am unable to find anything suitable to join in with.

I also wish that there was a magic pill that i could take that would make everything better.

Hi, I have depression since I was 11 or 12 , I have been trying everything that could help me for all theses yrs , Now I am 35 and had a big braking down 7 months ago and I still not getting better . I think it is getting worse as I get older and I don't know what else to try . Am on pills for the last 5 years and I can't see any future if you have any advice please do so as I can't think straight anymore
