Stiff neck solutions? Seems more I move more it gets stiff
Hi I was discharged from hospital 2 weeks ago and also feel the same. Even with fisio it feels if my neck and lower back stays stiff. Hope it gets better soon as I'm going to work on Monday.
I use a tens machine only off ebay around fifty dollars aussie money ... could not live without it for my neck
Hi how often do you use it? I use mine, at thus stage 2 times, morning and before bed. Do uou reccomend that I use it more often?
I hardly turn it off, im so addicted to it , probably use it too much, but god it helps me, someone else a while back on here said it was no good for them, everyones different, but truthfully I cant do without it ive even taken it to bed and let it turn itself off ...
Thank you for the feedback I will use it more then!
good luck I don't want to steer you wrong though , but it works for me
Can't loose anything for trying. Thx
I really don't know how your going to go to work on Monday, you really will have to take it easy, most of us it takes atleast a year to feel yourself again, I had it again but just a mini bout 16th Feb and still feeling so dam tired, but my last full blown was back in 2014 .... please go slow ... build your immune system up keep healthy and try best not to stress ... goodluck
I was told about a miracle tea that reduced the stiffness..did not believe it so I never tried it until my neck got so bad I was prepared to try everything...tried it and within 2 weeks my neck pain had reduced significantly...look up graviola tea..only costs a few bucks..you can buy the tea bags on amazon..hope this helps everyone with this terrible pain!
I take baclofen for general MS spasms, so I probably don't suffer this to the extent most meningitis folks do. But I have a limited range of motion in my neck. I'm practicing the neck rolls Roki mentioned.
Yeah I can't move neck side to side only very slowly. I am very gentle with moving my neck
This is a tricky one. I over-protected my neck for many months because it hurt to move it, to have it bent down while I read or was on the computer, etc. (Tilting the book up and putting the computer on a box really helped.) But I also felt like not moving it made it stiff. On top of that, I found out I had cervical vertebrae problems. As I've said, I found warm (not hot) heat to help, but this was maybe six months in. I also found chiropractic and osteopathic work to really help (even with insomnia). I think it's important to get evaluated by a professional (you could also try an orthopedist) to make sure there's not something else going on besides the swelling from VM. Nowadays, I find stretching and strengthening very useful.
