I am 20 years done with bacterial menningitis. I have had ringing in my ears for that long. I am experiencing lethargia and shortness of breath in a big way. The ringing and lethargia came and went over these years. It came when my mom died in 2016. It has not let up since then. This is not prolonged grief.
Diagnosed as prolonged grief.: I am 20 years... - Meningitis Now
Diagnosed as prolonged grief.
Bless you .sorry to hear about your continuous symptoms as well as losing your mum x
Sorry to hear about your mom. 😢
Keep going, getting opinions from all doctors. Persevere with this!
When I was in my late twenties I was feeling terrible and I had just gotten separated from my husband and I had two young kids and I was so tired and I felt sick all the time and I went to my family doctor and she told me oh no no it's just stress from the divorce and she kept saying this. Finally, thankfully, a friend of mine worked at the Diabetic Association and he suggested that I go in and get my sugar tested. Well. My sugar was so high that I had to be hospitalized and it turned out that I had type 1 diabetes and had to go on immediate insulin four times a day to save my life. I'm still taking that dosage at age 53.
What I'm saying is doctors are fallible and they don't know everything, keep trying until you find one that listens.
Hang in there! ❤️
