Hi skydivesurvivor , you could get in touch with Sutton Mencap to see if they can help with your question. You can phone them on 020 8647 8600.

You could also give Mencap's Learning Disability Helpline a call to speak to our trained advisers. They might be able to tell you about other activities in your area. You can give the Helpline a call on 0808 808 1111. Hope that helps. 🙂

hi there. Why not reach out to your local mencap team they should know what’s on in your area. Or social services they should know. The Salvation Army are good at that too. What about volunteering in a local charity shop. That would get you out and meeting people and things could go from there. Does your local church or other place of worship have any events? If you’re visually impaired could you try RNIB? Hope these ideas help.

My local mencap centre is a really nice place with nice people attending, I don't go personally but have been when they have invited my NHS LD day centre when the've had discos and magic shows. They also get out in the community a lot such as bowling and out for coffee. Its a good place.
