Hi laura12321 I am sorry that you are nervous is it because you have no date or the discomfort?I cannot advise when it will be . The injection takes only about 10 seconds and is hardly painful at all.If you don't like injections tell the person to do it but don't look and keep your arm limp hanging down by your side with your hand relaxed. Don't make a fist. Don't worry☺️.There more time taken up by the questions which are asked to make sure you are well etc. You should get a letter inviting you to book an appointment and you can do this by calling 119 or online. Good luck.

Hello laura12321

It is hard to get ready when you don't know when it will actually happen.

It is ok to be nervous, but as Charlie2750 says it will be over and done with very quickly. A few ideas that might make it a bit easier:

> Let the person giving the vaccination know how you are feeling.

> I love the idea of taking someone with you if you can. Do ask if you can.

> there may be other things that can be done to make it easier for you. For example, they can make sure that your appointment gives you enough time.

Things like this are called reasonable adjustments and we have a new guide about these very soon. I will put the new guide on here as soon as it is ready.

Best wishes

Sarah

Hey laura12321 , I hope you are feeling slightly less nervous about the vaccine. This has been shared in another post, did you see it? It's a video from the NHS about vaccinations:
