Received telephone call from hospital saying they have given my personal details and discharge notes to another patient! Patient promises to return it and sorry.
What was and could I have said to that?

Hi Denden your post was written a log time ago and i just found it, I hope you have sorted the situation and not just let it be. You need to contact Citizen Advice as what they have done is completely unacceptable. When I requested my notes I had to show identification and proof of address. How they can send them to another patient I do not know. They have breached your privacy and you the right to an explanation and reasonable actions taken for those involved.
