Do you have experience of small cell lung cancer? Would you accept a brief spell in hospital to monitor side effects for a new treatment?

I would want to know more before making a decision.

Yes, I would be willing to spend 1-5 days in hospital if it offered me an extra treatment option.

No, I would not take a treatment that meant I would have to spend 1-5 days in hospital.

I’m afraid I think it’s too late for my lovely mum. She was diagnosed around 3 years ago had treatment but it’s back and last Dec it was expected she only had 12 months. She’s blind too from misdiagnosed GCA 5 years ago so to be honest she’s had enough but I do hope your research helps others x

Thank you for your reply Daughters2. I am sorry to hear that your mum has had such a difficult experience with her cancer diagnosis but also her other health problems. I hope the family has access to good support and do get in touch if our Ask the Nurse service, phone or online support services would be useful to you,

best wishes

Lorraine
