Never thought about trials, no one said anything about trials.

It seems many lung cancer patients are given such little information, hope and treatment options from medical professionals who have already decided the outcome of their patient's disease. And that's from somebody who is relatively pro-active in seeking info/answers and trying desperately to navigate medical jargon! Not good enough!

I'm totally with you there too. My mum's lung cancer is they say stage 4 as it is in her spine . No other symptoms except severe low back and right leg pain due to tumour on her L2 which is pressing on a nerve root. The doctors here class her as palliative and the way she has been treated is that they have gave up on her from the start.

Such a fit and active woman . She's 70 but could have out walked me any day of the week up until the back leg pain started. If you ask me it's to do with age and money

Yes yes I am with you on this. Was told today that my partner not fit for trials or chemo although she very fit due to her 22 years service in army & never smoked in her life!!!
