I'm 66 years old, 230 lbs, 5'7", I swim everyday, but can't loose weight. Could it be the drugs I'm on after having a heart attack in 2010?

Hi Yes, it could be the drugs. Check them on webmd.com and have a good conversation with your physician. I'm on steriods because of lung cancer, and blew up like an elephant. Had good conversation with doc and he thinks it is more important to keep taking the steroids and prednisone than to worry about the weight gain. It is a quality of life issue and I agree with him even though I wish I was back to my normal weight. Hope your conversation goes well

Yes it could be. Steroids are the worst. With meds you need to weigh benefits with side effects. Keep swimming, its good for the heart. Be well..
