Healthunlocked has been very useful to me. The lung association also has useful information and web md.

A Facebook Asthma support group. I am hoping this group will eventually take it's place.

A friend with allergies and the HealthUnlocked Community have helped me most. My friend advised me to purchase a respirator mask and provided a link to the one she uses. She also told me how to put a simple-but-effective air filter together with a box fan and hepa furnace filter. I was amazed at how well it works.

The HealthUnlocked Community lets me see into other members' asthma challenges and solutions. It helps me feel less alone in this struggle. I've learned about websites and other resources through this forum.

Healthunlocked has been in my opinion the best thing I found. It has been the most useful thing for me and so glad I have found it.

It is helpful for so many reasons for me!

It provides me with the support I know i need and don't think I would've coped with what I've been through if it wasn't for the lovely people on the communities I am privileged to be a part of. (communities i follow are: Asthma UK, British Lung Foundation, Living with Asthma and National tremor foundation)

But I've also been given the opportunity to be able to learn about other people who's lives are affected by the same condition and how it affects them. Also about other similar conditions and how it affects someone. Reading and learning about individuals with certain conditions has given me knowledge to be able to help others in need of support.

As I want to be a nurse having knowledge of how different conditions affect someone and just knowledge of an array of conditions. Without this site I wouldn't have the knowledge I do today. I am so grateful for this amazing site without it I wouldn't of found some amazing people or the support I needed.

THANK YOU HU!

The other thing that's helped me is a site called Asthma UK it gives you a lot of information about asthma it also has this risk checker, that's a test you can take to see if you are at risk of an asthma attack

HealthUnlocked, and just googling what types of homeopathic things I can do, such as clean foods which are good for asthma ie foods that are anti-inflammatory, good sources of antioxidants, etc

I've helped my asthma a great deal using non-medicine means. Things like filtering the air in my home, wearing an asthma mask to clean and sometimes when I cook, and avoiding triggers reduce my need for medications. I take herbal medicine which benefits rather than harms me also.

WEB MD has been my best source. I google my questions and it seems to me that WEB MD always the best and most balanced information.

I read a lot of pamphlets and I talk to experts at the American Lung Association, where I

have taken their online course and of course, I have learned a lot by talking to asthmatics

and their families.

Hey CalvinHU - this site has been very resourceful along with the Google search engine. Google is how I found this site along with pulmonary specialist locating. It's quite evident that HealthUnlocked has expanded since I've been on board. Glad to be a part of this site!
