Liver enzymes

I was recently informed that my liver enzymes are very high, it's looking like it's 60 years old, I'm 23. Has anyone else gone through this? I've stopped drinking but it's so hard to hang out with friends while they are having wine.

Mine fluctuates though not far out of range. One time did my labs after a day of drinking, that was a fun test result, now I make sure to space out my tests from any weekends. Having said that, my Dr recently switched me from Atripla to Triumeq to eliminate the Efavirenz which can cause liver damage. I had no issues with the transition and less side effects. Not sure what meds your on?

I'm on Genvoya, I love it, I have not had any issues with it so far.

I recently did lab work and found out my liver enzymes are high (fatty liver) as well and the Dr. said to lay low from alcohol and to change my diet. I have 3 maybe 4 drinks 1x a week..weird right? However i do eat like crap and i did blood work the next day from drinking. so i guess a change of lifestyle for me, and i get what you are saying,i had sprite tonight while my friends drank =( Think of it this way, no hangovers, better health, and more money in your pocket.

I agree, I have notice and decrease in spending. I often wake up well rested, except the times when my meth addicted neighbor upstairs is hallucinating and stomping on the floor.

I did. I was started with Stribild but had to stop because my LFT's just went out of whack! I was then placed on Atripla but my enzymes were still elevated. Not crazy high like I was when in Stribild but still high. It was really unsettling and my doctor seems to be not so concerned. So I did my own research. Our liver is EXTREMELY resilient, the only organ in our body that can actually regenerate itself. I just followed the science and it worked for me. Nothing unusual or ,even, medicinal but real active physical activity. It had to be aerobic and anaerobic exercises and, the more difficult, the better it is. I became more faithful to my gym, watched out my diet and drank a lot of water. My LFT's started to go down after 3 months and normalized after the 6th month. Try it!
