Hi Netty, what is the cause of your liver issue? The reason I ask is that there are different 'cut off' points for fibroscan scores dependent on the underlying liver issue. 8.8kPa can be up to F2/F3 fibrosis in some conditions (NAFLD, Hep B, Hep C) but only F1 to F2 in others.
Also, what are your current bloods saying? If you have ongoing inflammation it can give a false high reading. If you look up 'fibroscan score chart' on your search engine it should bring up images of the score charts and you can see for yourself where a score of 8.8 kPa correlates with the various liver conditions.
At F2/F3 it is still reversible if the cause of the underlying liver issue is dealt with.
