From what I know, Alex TLC have recently emailed about doing a webinar tomorrow at 8pm on the vaccines if he would like to watch that.

If you search "vaccination" on the Antony Nolan website, it comes up with some useful information which says that it is fine to have a vaccination after BMT unless you are within six months of transplant. None of the vaccines are "live" which are the sort that are not recommended. Also the Addison's Self Help Group (ADSHG) website has information about vaccination and Addison's. There is no need to increase hydrocortisone dosage unless you feel unwell afterwards as some people have minor side effects, e.g. sore arm, slight temperature.I listened to the webinar and was reassured that vaccination is not a problem with ALD/AMN. On that basis, my son who had a transplant in 2009 had his vaccination yesterday. We concluded that having protection from severe Covid when you have Addison's was important and that nothing was telling us that vaccination was unsafe. Sue.
