Hi. Since I had a abmt in July I have been visiting the hospital 3 times a week. I have become friendly with a couple and the wife who has aml is always needing platelets or something. Her transplant has been put on hold because of her blood levels and sadly their consultant is not being very informative, that I know of. Its become a stressful time for them both and wondered about getting on a trial. And having to rely on the consultant regarding any trials that there may be about or abroad. Kind regards

It's hard to advise on this, as trials are all very dependent on individual circumstances, medical history and physiological make up. It's always worth them contacting her CNS to ask for more information and to see if there are any trials or whatever. The CNS is usually able to give more time to answering all kinds of questions and may be better and joining things together (in my experience anyway)
