In December 2019, our Patient Advocacy team attended the annual American Society of Hematology (ASH) conference in Florida, where the latest research in haematology was presented.

Whilst there, the team spoke to a number of experts, in these first two videos we hear from Professor Anthony Moorman on how genetic information about the leukaemia cell is used in the diagnosis and treatment of acute leukaemia, along with what research was presented on the topic of genetics and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) at ASH 2019.

In the second video Professor Anthony Moorman discusses in more detail the different types of genetic abnormalities, and how their identification can define prognosis and use of different treatments to help clinicians to design appropriate treatment algorithms.

Thanks so much for these 2 videos. Genetic research certainly seems to be the key to prognosis.
