I am 11 years out. I now know there are highs and lows on this journey. My diagnosis was not a death sentence. In the last 11 years, I have seen my 4 children graduate from college and marry, I have danced at all their weddings. I returned to work after 25 years of being an at home Mom. I have run many 5 K races, and taken up Yoga and Zumba. All this while I have I gone through 2 surgeries and 5 different drug combos.
My point is, with ups and downs I have continued to live my life. Occasionally, I have to make room for cancer to be in my life but for the most part I continue to live and enjoy my family and my life!
