Stage 4 - a couple mets in lungs and bones - radical nephrectomy in March 2018. Was on Pazopanib for a while - switched to Immunotherapy (Nivo + Ipi) a month ago. Feeling good so far. Hopefully its working.

How long were you on TKI -Votrient (Pazopanib)? My wife has been on it #69 cycles (months)

Wow - thats a marathon - I was 12 weeks - it knocked me out - 600 mg. exhausted, no taste buds, diarrhea, hair depigmentation... not sure if it was working ?

Then I was fortunate enough to get access to immunotherapy.

I was originally diagnosed in 2009. Had right kidney removed and all was NED until six months ago. Now my world is crashing in on me. Bone Mets in my pelvis and a tumor near the pelvis. Extremely painful. Started on Votrient but was taken off after 3 months because of extreme high blood pressure. Now on Opdivo. Just got another cat scan this week and the tumor has grown. My oncologist is sending me to a Barnes Jewish Hospital for a second opinion.

My wife has been on Votrient for 6 years. Not everyone can tolerate it. She did have the blood pressure side effect at the beginning. Though hers leveled off. Normally the BP goes up. Which means Votrient is working. Though some peoples BP stays up and climbs.

We have talked about going back on it if they could get the right meds for the BP issues. Glad to hear your wife has survived 6 years!
