Live with it, I'm afraid. Meds may be needed or not. I've been lucky and haven't had meds much... 3 times in 23 years, and then only for a very short time in each case.

I have a blood test every 6 months to see what my count is and just to keep an eye on it.

There may be fatigue...I've learned to pace myself, use my good days, and not beat myself up if I don't achieve much on my not so good days.

I would suggest to get a good hematologists who can help with the treatments, apartment from meds - gluten free diet and reducing stress will help immensely .. if it’s acute there should be good chance to recover within 2 months

I think there is a way to get rid of ITP if caused by an unidentifiable bug or fungus.

All the doctors (4 hematologists, 3 gastro drs and 1 immunologist, even Mayo Clinic said too bad so sad you have ITP) told me I was stuck with ITP forever that it was just that way. But I knew in my heart that I had caught something in Costa Rica cause the ITP started within 2 weeks of returning to America. But no one could find the cause-bug, parasiter, virus, etc. so they said incurable ITP.
