Hi there. I underwent ivf overseas.

I'm sorry to hear all those sad stories. Trully pains to see there are so many of us.. I've got friends who are true worriors in the infertility world. All they passed different paths. Some passed ivf at home area. Others went abroad as it's much cheaper. Ivf consumed all my time and strength. It changed a lot family relationships. We all became stronger still more emotional. Dh has always supported me. Also my lovely Dr Mozgovaya. She knows the field exclusively well. I wish all people in need could achieve their goal sooner than later. Thus it's not easy and the whole situation depends on many factors. I'd be glad to share experiences. If I'm of any help, just drop me a line.

May god bless you with a LO soon. xx

Hello. In the clinic we've been with depending on the package one can get: unlimited number of attempts. Their main principle is guaranteed result. It means that in case of failure they'll be trying again and again until get the desired result. It’s covered by the contract and doesn’t require any extra fees. All medications needed for the protocol. Also all relevant medical examinations. They all are covered by the contract. They will also do extra checkups even if you've already done them in other clinics. They also offer the legal service. It's assisting in getting all documents in civil status registry office and embassy. Also translations and lawyer service which was very important for us. Accomodation with provided with housemaid, cook and babysitter. The only thing that depends upon the type of package you choose is how large the apartment will be and if you will share it with other couples or stay separately. Transportation. Large base of egg donors and surrogate mothers. They provide IP with photos, video interview and even 3D photo! All this enables them to start program just after signing up contract with no wasting time. DNA test avaliable and PGD. This determines the gender of embryos and if they're healthy enough for the procedure.

Thus people might face complications due to coronavirus. The clinic got it's plan B for this case. They send invitations for their patients, so that they come any time needed.

Hope this helps.

When we came to Ukraine at first things felt like skating on thin ice.. I was doubtful whether we'd chosen the right path. Dh though was more optimistic. As time flew, we both got satisfied with the state of things and BTC services in particular. Using IP' own biological material is a priority for them. No one will push you onto using donor eggs at once (As we all know they are thought to be more effective when there's the smallest issue with OE). So the experts will try out all the options aimed to keep your genes before applying for a donors' help. This approach is priceless. Besides this they've got so called "guaranteed packages". This means they will keep on trying to ge tsuccess regardless of the number of shots used.

I'm glad to hear about your success. All the very best to you and your family!

Surrogacy can be one of the best feelings. Both for intended parents who've been struggling unsuccessfully for years and the surrogate who's actually helping them to go through. But it’s never an easy decision. It definitely requires a lot of research, familial support, and personal sacrifice. I believe all the infertile deserve to be moms and dads just like anyone else. Surrogacy offers these parents the possibility of starting a family. Moreover it allows a genetic link between the parents and the baby. It definitely has nothing to do with adoption so are more likely to advise in these circumstances. Also surrogacy is an achievement of modern technology that previous generations were unable to experience. So why not to take the advantage? Besides the choice vary greatly among the repro centers. All they have different treatment plans to try out. But to my mind, win-win plans are the best. I mean the possibility of refund in case it's not success in the end. BTC, for example, has such plans. Moreover, they've got lots of other services included into a fixed package price. This blows away.

Hi all, I'm chimming in. From my own experience I'm sure it's worth travelling abroad if you aren't getting successful with treatments where you live. We did the same and here are the advantages we got: The possibility to choose the donor by the photo and getting the basic characteristics. Free consultation. No hidden payments. No need to pay the whole amount of money at once. The payment is divided into several rates. Well screened donors have carefully considered their decision to be a part of the program. Unlimited number of attempts without losing money!! (This needs more explanation though. If anyone is interested, please, drop a line) Help with any questions. Assistance with financial arrangements. Each specialist there has 15 and more years of experience. Registered nurses on staff, enabling to effectively identify excellent candidate for donation. Full legal support without any additional payments. Success rate - about 75%. They work only with fresh biological material. That is why the chances to succeed are higher. More than 600 donors– and growing! Donors are informed of the confidential nature of the arrangements with the recipients. I believe these are the reasons some of their packages are being sold out in quick succession!

We were doing VIP surrogacy plan with BTC. Have no regrets. We lived in the USA then, but had never considered passing surrogacy there. Waiting time for the first try there is about 9 months. American law is very strict. At the same time it's too loyal to the surrogate mothers. For example, surrogate mother during pregnancy has the right to demand anything from the future parents. Often it can grow even into blackmail! It doesn’t stop even after a child birth! This is because under American law surrogate mother is allowed to keep in contact with the child. Ukraine, on the contrary, is a country with optimally balanced legislation. Relationship to the child is determined by the father of the child. The cost of surrogate motherhood is EUR 30k on average. The price unlike in the US include the risks, including Cesarean, food, accommodation, transportation, translator, and so on. The procedure for registration of a child is quite simple. For most of the cases, passport for the child is given in Ukraine. In some cases it is necessary to draw up documents in their own country. The queue moves quickly due to a good mix of supply and demand. That's why we did this choice.

As far as I know, the surrogate contract defines the joint agreement between the intended parents, surrogate, and clinic. There is some confusion because upon the first reading, you might see that you are responsible for paying the surrogate €200 euros a month. But that actually comes out of the package fee. So the clinic will make those payments for you. So one shouldn’t be alarmed!

Some of them can be a bit confusing. But a reputable clinic will be more than happy to explain anything that you have a question about. Also I'd note that the contracts are subject to change every few months. This is because the business grows. So depending on when you read this post, it would be good idea to go to their website and get the latest copy there.

I'd advice looking onto BTC services. There are some really attractive packages. One can find what suits his pocket the best. I was over the moon to get to know one day my MRKH friend had applied for their help. Previously I was doing some research for her. I came across many positive reviews about them. The worst thing I used to hear was a bit slow communication and queues. Well it's a personal decision whether to get used to those "cons" or not. Personaly I think it's a pretty good sign for a repro center to get queues in its corridors, isn't it? Wishing all the best for the new year.

Thank you so much for this detailed information on the point!! Kind soul you are.I did some more research too. Importantly, the surrogate in Ukraine cannot legally keep the child after the birth. The child is considered to legally belong to the prospective parents from the very moment conception. In fact, in the legal history of Ukraine, there has not been a single reported case of a disputed custody claim arising over a surrogate parenting arrangement or the validity of a surrogacy agreement. In sharp contrast, the laws in several US states and in Russia allow a surrogate mother to keep the child after its birth, regardless of the agreements between the intended parents and surrogate mother.

Surrogacy in Ukraine offers the following advantages: No limits on surrogacy related payments. No additional legal procedures to obtain court order. No adoption of your own child is required. Ukrainian law allows to issue birth certificate to intended parents’ names regardless of their genetic links to the child. Donor or a surrogate mother has no parental rights over the child, who is legally the child of the prospective parents from the moment of conception.

Besides the possibility of using donor egg is also widely spread in Ukraine. Lots of women participate in egg donation/surrogacy programs, that’s why there are no long waiting lists. The procedure usually starts just after you sign up the suitable package.

That's definitely great we have this very board to share things on.

Infertility treatments can cost many thousands of dollars and involve strong drugs or hormones. It can also be an emotional roller coaster. Knowing your limits will keep you from being talked into some new procedure that you really don't want and can't afford. When it's time to choose a clinic, do thorough research ahead of time. Keep in mind that some fertility centers that looked great several years ago may have had a lot of turnover in staff and may have gone downhill in quality. But the numbers give you a place to start. Anyway IT IS possible to find well balanced packages, just a bit more of research. I'd recommend looking onto BTC, Kiew. Costs look good and so do the services. Wishing you the best x Also feel free to ask/pm if any??

I really feel hurt to see that there are so many who are truly worried about infertility. Some passed IVF in home areas and some went abroad because it is much cheaper there. But the main principle is to get the positive result. I also decided to go abroad . I searched a lot and at last selected Ukraine in Eastern Europe. In the clinic we have depending on the packages I can get . It means unlimited attempts like in case of failure they’ll be trying again and again until they get the desired result. All things are covered by the contract including medical checkups, protocols, extra checkups. They also provide legal services like docs in civil status registry offices and embassies and also the translation and lawyer services which is very important to all of them who need these. But this is a very delicate time because of coronavirus. Many people face lots of complications in this situation. As the time flew we both are satisfied with the services provided by BIOTEXCOM. They tried their best until the last hope. In the nutshell I can say that I got all the positive vibes from there...

I should say that the surrogacy program at BioTexCom covers all the bases and works in the clients’ favor. Unlike other European clinics, the surrogacy program cost there is significantly lower and service is better than in the high-level medical centers. Depending on diagnosis, doctor can recommend surrogacy program with donor or own eggs. Patients pay for the program on a phased basis: Signing the contract. Before the pickup / puncture procedure. When surrogate mother reaches 12th week of pregnancy. As act of delivery starts. During the final stage of the program, when biological parents receive all necessary documents and leave the clinic with the newborn. Signing the contract, clients receive a complete package of services. In particular, their drivers meet patients at the airport and provide them with a transfer from/to the clinic, hotel, embassy, etc.

Clients live in the clinic’s homes, hotels which are regularly visited by pediatrician who specializes in the newborn children. Doctor monitors condition of the newborn’s health, advises parents on all issues they are interested in. In the case of premature birth, BTC covers all the expenses concerning necessary medications, procedures, and child’s stay in the hospital if it is needed. During the whole period of the program manager and interpreter accompany couple. and organize all processes, coordinate patients, prepare all documents and help clients to go through the program without difficulties. Interpreters who accompany clients are accredited to work in the state institutions. As well as have an experience on working with the documentation for the surrogacy (Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs). All services listed above are included in the price of the program you choose.

Hope this is useful.

In my opinion, gestational surrogacy often enables one or both parents to maintain a biological relationship with their child. One can use own egg + partner's sperm. Or it might be donor egg + partner's sperm. Yet another - donor's motochondria+own egg+partner's sperm (The newest method the clinic we’d been with is currently offering). I'm sure surrogacy creates relationships. As many intended parents become close with their surrogate and her family during the process, developing meaningful bonds that can last a lifetime. A legally binding contract outlining everyone’s expectations is negotiated and signed prior to the embryo transfer. So everyone knows exactly what to expect during the surrogacy process. IP are usuallyable to be involved in their surrogate’s pregnancy. We can attend all the key appointments. We can be present at all the important milestones, which is great. You know, surrogates have a proven track record of carrying healthy pregnancies. So it often makes surrogacy more likely to be successful than fertility treatments for IP. I cannot see the reasons why surrogacy should be banned. Or why people are against this procedure. Probably because they haven't been in the same boat themselves..

DE IVF program in BTC is performed in 4 steps. Briefly: #They define the date of initial consultation and send you the list of required papers. (Transvaginal ultrasound check results, breast ultrasound check results, chest X-ray (for both). Also doc’s certificate that you’re healthy enough to carry out a baby and that pregnancy is not prohibited for you. Sperm count if available. ) # Than the initial consultation itself. We both came to the clinic to undergo the required tests (blood tests for both, pap smear, sperm count). The doctor studied medical records, performed transvaginal ultrasound check and evaluated our chances to successfully accomplish the program. He explained us the treatment plan. Also they gave us the medications needed for my subsequent stimulation protocol. All agreements signed. # You’re following the treatment plan and make the needed ultrasound checks according to the protocol of stimulation and synchronization. # After the embryo transfer is performed you’re given the protocol to follow and meds according to this protocol. In two weeks after the embryo transfer you need to make blood test for HCG level and send the results to the clinic. Their obligations are considered to be fulfilled after the pregnancy reaches the term of 12 weeks. Hope this helps others to drop light on what to expect. All in all the process is not so complicated as it could seem.

At Biotexcom the first ultrasound scan is carried out in 2 weeks after the positive HCG test by the doctor in charge of the program. The report is send the same or the next day after the check. You can expect during pregnancy monitorying: Monthly ultrasound checks from the 12th week of pregnancy. Reports along with video and/or pictures will be send the same or the next day. For trisomy screenings, results will be send within 5 working days. Trisomy 13, 18, 21 – on the 12th week of pregnancy. Trisomy 18, 21 – on the 16th week of pregnancy.

Moreover, the clinic looks very modern, both in exterior and interior. All equipment is new. Everyone who comes into the clinic puts boot covers on. Everything is absolutely clean. All medical stuff wears very neat uniform with badges indicating their names. Nurses and doctors wear one shot sterile gloves. To sum up, the level of medical service is high. Finally, the clinic deals exclusively with foreigners, mainly westerns. So they try to keep up with high requirements of their clients. I was surprised that they have managers speaking so many foreign languages…All this made our stay as comfortable as it could be.
