Hi, Ive been Type 2 diabetic since 2005. About two months ago I changed from HumulinM3 insulin to Rapid as well as Long acting insulins.

I am in better control of the recent spikes and hypos since the change, and generally feel better.

Appetite has increased and I simply inject the fast acting insulin before eating anything substantial like b/fast/lunch and dinner.

I would recommend the change if other insulins are not working as well as you would like.

When my sugars were out of control I was constantly getting reading over 20 when I took my sugars, I was taking insulin 25/75 mix 150 units a day, in the end the specialist put me on trulicity injection once a week, the next day on waking my sugars were 7 that was over about 10 years ago, I am still on the trulicity injection once a week my sugars are normally between 7-11 in the morning and I take 20 units of insulin mix and 1 metformin.
