Dapagliflozin

Hi

I have been on dapagliflozin for nearly two years after having a stent put in, however, it gave me persistent thrush which was treated with fluconazole (6 month treatment) and I was taken off of it. My blood sugars were spiking and anywhere between 12 and 21 on a daily basis and my HB1AC shot up to 81. I have been off it for 5 months now and feeling totally out of whack so my doctor has put me back on Dapagliflozin. I am worried the thrush will return but my sugars are almost back to normal levels. What can I do to stop the return?

Try HIPREX. It is a urine anti bacterial. It is not an antibiotic. One or two tablets a day creates an environment in the bladder that is unfriendly to bacteria. My doctor put me on it in the past as I was getting a lot of UTI, without anything ‘wrong’. But this is before I was diagnosed with diabetes. Ask your doctor as I am not a doctor or pharmacist.
