Hello, I have a friend with Type 2 diabetes (we are in the uk).His wife is not very understanding of his condition and doesn't adapt meals etc for him. He is blasé about the condition and doesn't look upon it as serious.
I would like to help as much as I can and have been looking at getting him some vitamins to take. Can anyone recommend the best vitamins to take. I've advised his to adapt a keto diet but he enjoys carbs and is reluctant to give them up. I think vitamins will be a start and hopefully he will see if I am concerned he should be too and will look at making other changes.

It’s hard to help someone who’s not willing to change slightly, I’m saying that from experience because I have it too, but mine is under control. I took the willpower to discipline myself on how things should run in my favor regarding type 2. Same issue my wife doesn’t cook anything healthy for this illness. So I began to cook for myself. There are carbs everywhere in food, even healthy foods just more complex which takes the body longer to absorb and digest. As for vitamins I take none, but I use a lot of medicinal spices, such as turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and garlic. They all help. Your friend needs to take this condition serious because down the line there’s more things that diabetes can cause which can be fatal, if that doesn’t scare him enough I don’t know what would. I love carbs but that doesn’t mean that I don’t eat them. I eat high in protein, I stay between 30 grams of carbs for lunch, 15 grams in snacks and 15-20 grams for dinner. I don’t count calories and I lost a ton of weight while regulating my sugar. Been off the meds for about 2 months now and my sugar has been amazingly stable.
