I will have a search for you later, I should imagine like everything else it will take longer to get over than perhaps somebody without APS! I found this on the site of one medical provider: Prognosis and Possible Complications

Most cases of mumps get better without any lasting problems. Complications are more likely in teens and adults. These may include encephalitis (inflammation of the brain and its membranous coverings), deafness, orchitis, pancreatitis, and miscarriage in early pregnancy.

So all I can say is please keep a close eye on your headaches and any new symptoms or inflammation in general.

Don't have any advice other than get lots of rest. I had mumps a few years ago and found it very painful. I recall just resting and trying to sleep through it. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but can totally sympathise x

Thank you all - yes the headaches are the lasting thing - seem to be over the actual mumps but horrid migraines still evident 10 days after - apparently not menigitis but still awful. seeing an acupuncturist tonight - hopefully some releif ...
