Hey, I am the youth rep for HepNS. I’ve been working on the youth safer tattooing and piercing project called Hip not Hep for the last year and a half. I was one of the volunteers at World Hep Day July 28th on the Halifax helipad at the water front. The numbers from HepNS were added together with other organizations around the world to set a Guinness World Record. It was important to educate people about hepatitis.

I have big news for everyone out there! I got accepted to go to Ottawa to a conference for youth about hepatitis and it is sponsored by Jer’s vision. Jer’s vision works on bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination in schools and youth communities. Jer spoke at my school and he wished me a happy birthday on Facebook.

I am excited to go to Ottawa to meet new people. It’s a national youth conference and they have young people coming from all over Canada; provinces and territories. It runs from December 4th to the 8th. My mother got the flight info the other day, so now it is for REAL.
