Hi everyone. Hope your all well or if going through treatment taking good care of yourselves. I contracted this virus 18 years ago and am starting treatment soon. I'm worried about long term effects. I am at the stage now and am ready. I have no energy and suffer bad from depression and sore muscles and joints. I have helped my body with various herbs n vitamins through the years but I don't have the stamina anymore it's really wearing me down.

Hi Cara78

I found out I had hep c after routine blood tests about 2 years ago, They couldn't say how long I'd had it probably decades,I started my treatment in May 2015 and finished in April 2016 the treatments have advanced so much now and are much shorter with less side effects, my treatment was quite a long one,The hep c virus was undetectable after just 3 weeks but I had to finish the treatment, I had regular blood tests and ultra sounds to check it was still undetectable,Like you I suffered depression and energy loss during my treatment I got help from my GP for this, if you need any questions answered post them and I will help if I can,I know how scary this is but you will get through this.
