May I ask your age? You have like I had one of the hardest and first geno types found. I am 64. I have had two treatments. The last one killed the virus.

You have every reason to believe you can kill the virus and have a full recovery. Cannot recall if I mentioned your geno type is one of the older ones. They are harder to put into remission.

geno 1a is 90% cureable with the newer drugs, however more important is the state of your liver health, these liver function blood tests should be done along with a ultra sound scan. once your overall state is confirmed next steps will be planned where are you? if in uk call 0800 207 1899 for advice

I'm 1a too...35 years now.

I've taken the holistic self treatment route

Harvoni/Viekiera have very high cure success rates

You've done very well cutting back, not easy

Once you have the facts ie Viral load/liverfunction etc

Then your consultant can advise you on your best options

Wish you all success in your recovery/cure
