Has anybody had a heart beating weird after drinking cold water quickly?

I think it stimulates my vagus nerve.

Cold water is a well known trigger for heart arrhythmias, but what causes an attack can often put you back into normal sinus rhythm too.

I've read that some people here say cold water triggers the Afib. And some it seems to calm it. Everyone's body is different so it's trial and error what triggers the vagus nerve. My opinion only. I've found that lightly massaging behind the right ear calms down the heart and lowers heart rate. Also pinching the tragus part of the ear for a few minutes seems to help. I tend to drink tepid water all the time. Good luck with finding what helps you. Take care and be safe.

I drank a wine glass full (125Ml) of cold Beetroot juice and spent the night in hospital, heartrate of 150BPM A/fib. Been a bit more careful since. It came on so quick, coincidence or not.
