Can amitriptyline cause a very high pulse. I didn't take it for 1 day and pulse was normal. I am on warfarin also for last 2 weeks

Get suitable medical advice. There are many alternatives to Amittriptyline

Hi Goldiwonder1, I hope you've already found the answer to your question but, just in case, I have taken Amitriptyline for several years now in low doses (50mg) which can cause arrhythmias (high/fast heartbeats). Speak to your GP and explain your concerns. You might decide that the side effects outweigh the benefits of the meds treating your underlying problem but it's best to make that decision with your GP's knowledge/agreement. Best of luck.

thank you mrs pc for your comments regarding amiltryptine, I have informed my doctor that I was concerned re high pulse and I now no longer take it. I am just on warfarin and beta blocas plus blood pressure medication and my pulse has now normalised.
