Is there anyone in your family who has suffered from vision problems in their old age?

My grandmother was not able to see things. She was also not able to identify our family members due to this problem. It was causing a lot of trouble for her as well as for us. So we decided to take her to a nearby eye care centre herzig-eye.com/. When we took her there and told the ophthalmologist about the situation, he thoroughly examined her eyes. Once the check-up got over he told us that , there is a cataract in both the eyes and needs to be removed immediately. So we agreed with him and fixed a date for the surgery. Once the surgery got over, and the bandage was removed after several days, she started recognizing all of us and returned to her normal routine. Is there anyone in your family who has faced a situation like this during their old age? Do share the experiences.
