I'm 38 and have suffered pelvic pain since I was 13 due to polycystic ovaries and endometriosis, I'm now on the waiting list for a total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy......I'm apprehensive to say the very least, so any advice greatly received

I've just got my date for surgery so I can't offer any advice yet. However, it's been really reassuring reading all the positive posts about hysterectomy on this site. I think the main thing I've learnt is that I'll need to listen to my body and have lots of rest which is so not me! Good luck and hope you get a date soon!
You have had quite a journey ๐ The waiting is the hard part, and there is nothing you can do about that, but perhaps use the time to keep your fitness up with regular walks? I found walking really helped my pelvic pain.
There are lots of posts on here for you to read, I wrote a detailed diary of my hospital stay last month, if you want to read it just click on my name ๐
