I have an electric egg boiler so it's no more difficult to have them soft or hard boiled and perfect every time. I just prefer them hard boiled so I can eat them as they are for snacks with a bit of salt and black pepper especially when I'm out and about. 😄
I have to disagree with Imaaan and say that IMO duck eggs do taste similar to chicken eggs when incorporated into various dishes (although much richer/creamier), but NOT when eaten alone!! Duck eggs have a much more intense flavour.. and a faintly fishy odour and taste! 🐟 😬
Scrambled or hardboiled. Other is in Egg fried rice and as omelettes - mainly spanish or cheese. Oh and as egg salad sandwiches. I loooooooooooove egg salad sandwiches and often have one for breakfast. And after you got me thinking about eggs I now have to go and boil a couple for a snack. 😁
Awe! I'm glad to hear that you enjoy egg salad sandwiches. I sometimes have egg salad on a salad or add hard boiled eggs into a salad and use other ingredients to go around everything with the salad/eggs.
That's fantastic! I usually have my eggs for breakfast with Greek yogurt every morning. I usually have hard boiled so I get a high protein and low carb. start to the day with meals and not be hungrier too soon afterwards.
I like my scrambled eggs for dinner. But I prefer a hard boiled egg and poached egg for lunch sometimes for breakfast.I even like a fried egg for my lunch or breakfast with the calorie spray oil.
I love the combination of egg and bread as it keeps me fuller for longer and it is a huge help in losing weight ( I speak from experience).
Another great survey. I love taking part in them. I can't wait for the next survey.
Thank you, Lotus-Blossom for saying that about the poll. Eggs are one of my favorite types of breakfast/lunch/dinner foods we have in my house each day. I have hard boiled eggs for breakfast every day and liquid egg whites when I have a quiche once a week.
That's quite alright. I really enjoy taking part in your polls.
I try to incorporate an egg a day myself. I also enjoy my eggs as well. But I try to eat stuff that are going to go off soon first. Then I go back to having my egg again for lunch. A perfect lunch.
Thank you for mentioning me. I'm glad you like my response.
We like soft boiled eggs with toast for breakfast but we sometimes have celery sticks or fresh Asparagus with our eggs. We also like poached eggs either in toast or served on top of spinach.
All this sounds good! I've never had celery with eggs before. Will have to see if we can do this in a few weeks..... We don't have celery right now in the house. Great idea!
I used to love eggs, but am now anaphylactic to them. I use Just Egg substitute for “eating “ eggs, and Bobs Red Mills egg replacer for cooking/baking.
For me, the Just Egg cooks up just like regular scrambled eggs. I add raw spinach to mine while cooking it, and it tastes like a delicious spinach omelette!
I usually eat my eggs as a cheese omelette with salad for lunch. Occasionally I have boiled eggs with cottage cheese and salad. When I have scrambled eggs I have it with fried mushrooms and eat a large bowl full, again usually for lunch. Lunch is my first meal of the day and it’s usually low carb and egg based.
I could eat omelette and salad every day 😋 but I usually mix it up a little and have home made soup or tuna mayonnaise and salad every other day for variety.
I love a 'fried egg sandwich', egg lightly fried in olive oil and I use that oil on the bread, instead of butter or margarine. I also love using roasted vegetables etc in a frittata I make in the frying pan, browned under the grill. That is also fried in olive oil.
I rarely eat eggs these days but when I do, I have 1 boiled and hopefully not solid but it’s often hit and miss even with timing the boiling. OH eats 2 boiled eggs at least once a week so I leave the boiling of them to him.
I eat two hard boiled eggs for breakfast with a Greek yogurt to get a lot of protein so I don't need a snack before lunch each day. They're really good and somewhat fast when I'm in a rush.
I'm vegan so I don't eat eggs, and it's a problem when it comes to making a nice fluffy cake, but I'm so much against the poultry industry and all the horrors associated with it, I could not possibly eat eggs or chicken meet for that matter. One last consideration: eggs are not good for one's health: youtube.com/watch?v=pKgrjQe...
I agree with you. Omelettes and eggs in general are one way to have them that's a favorite of mine, too. I always like having the eggs added to my quiches when we cook one once a week.
That sounds good. Have you tried egg in a hole? You get a piece of bread and a cup. Turn the cup upside down and make a hole in the middle of the bread. Put the bread in a pan and add the egg inside the hole the cup created. Cook the egg and let everything melt together. When done, take it out of the pan and enjoy!
Hard boiled, I don't like soft boiled, like I like my meat burnt, eaten as a supper with toast, when we can't be bothered/don't have time to cook anything else.
