What are you doing this bank holiday weeke... - Healthy Eating
What are you doing this bank holiday weekend? Multiple choice poll and please say what other is under comments.
No change for me. Most days are all the same. Because I'm happily retired
π
I'll be visiting family as I've so missed seeing my family during the lockdowns. I'll also be walking in the forest and as always getting stuck in with some of my DIY jobs ate home.
I hope that everyone enjoys the bank holiday and stays safe especially if traveling. π
How's your son with the Bengal cat then?
Theyβre both fine thanks catgirl πΈ
I prefer the household moggies myself as Baby is just a regular moggy herself as Bengals can be very bossy!
We put in raised beds for Jacqui to grow vegetables. That meant me moving 2 tons of topsoil using a spade and a wheelbarrow. The cats have said, "Look at the size of those litter trays!" The word 'Shoo' now figures large in my vocabulary.
Gardening. As the weather improves and the days reach their longest, the weeds are loving it.
Not a lot as awaiting open hearth surgery on 23rd June
Village Litter pick, I do hope we get some sun.
Thanks very public spirited jpipw so good for you, its sad how some people leave litter!
Gardening.
Nothing different from normal, which is TV, Guitar, reading and talking on phone (if I can!)
I am planning to re-seal our shower, because it started leaking a couple of weeks ago (don't worry, we have a bath too so I'm not walking around with flies following me!)
I might try to visit my aunt too, while we're able to.
Hey good luck Cooper27 as you can't beat a refreshing shower, I'm sure that you don't have flies following you LOL. And visiting your aunt would be nice, you enjoy your BH now. π
Gardening - we do not visit attractions on bank holidays as they are too busy and the traffic is bab
Best thing to do is not visit things on bank holidays as that's what we do unless it's one of those once-in-a-lifetime events that won't happen again on those days.
We have a beautiful stretch of promenade near us and walk there most days. One bank holiday we drove down there and struggled to find a parking space, in the end I said, let's go home and sit in the garden, we're lucky that we can go to the prom any other day of the week. Since then we leave bank holidays and most Saturdays and Sundays for those who can only go there on a day off
I find that the queues on bank holidays are ridiculous myself so give them a miss unless there's something really special going on.
Other than getting together with my Church family on Sunday and having 2 of our granddaughters sleeping over Saturday night, I have nothing planned. Boring aren't I.
Vaccine stewarding. Cycling. Dinner with brother.
No change for myself and my hubby... We are staying 'homebound'!
Working
Hi Jerry, hopefully the weather will pick up and I can get out and about and get in the garden .. Clive.
Other - two big occasions - finally managing to go to hotel spa break that was originally booked March 2020 and rebooked 3 times due to being in different tiers and lockdown and then on Monday attending the (open air) memorial celebration for someone whose funeral was under strict lockdown restrictions.
Last Saturday we finally got to do our rearranged day out in taunton that was due to have been done in April last year and I think we enjoyed it more due to having to have waited for it!
I'm another person working I have been off Tuesday and today and it has just poured. Wanted to get in to the garden but it is really wet, if it was a drizzle I would have braved it but it is really coming down!
Knowing my luck the weather will improve when I am working this weekend and the Bank Holiday
You enjoy today and tomorrow then as itβs brighter here now π
No change for me. relatives in the South I havnt seen for ages.
Gardening, gardening & more gardening!
That sounds lovely a BBQ!
How are you and Pixie getting on?
Baby is well and enjoying her treats.
Visiting family and doing 8 - 10 mile walk ending up in the pub. I think the weather is supposed to be fine Best wishes π
Enjoy your walk you'll want a drink when you get there...π
Got some more interviews coming up one this Friday at 10 and 2 next week and the week after.
Is Pixie getting a party for his 7th birthday then?
Honoring our Nations's Veterans and Military who have paid the ultimate price for our Nations' freedom.
This is commendable utep99
Hiya Pixie. I have never tried painting food. Maybe I could start with something easy -- like an egg! How are you doing?
I'm so sorry Hidden π gone but not forgotten so my thoughts are with you all.
Also, taking in the Sun (hopefully) in the garden.
Hey not thats a nice thought...π
Having my beautiful little nieces over at the house.
Hey this sounds perfect to me Lotus-Blossom so you enjoy seeing your family. π
I do enjoy seeing my family. I forgot to add during this bank holiday I will be having a clear out of my bedroom and donating stuff to the P.D.S.A and to the Heart Foundation, I find it really liberating letting items go as I donate them to charity. What about you what do you enjoy doing in the bank holiday?
Thank you for mentioning me.
May go for for a drive on one of the days. And if weather suitable have our picnic lunches in the Summer house, which will make a change
This sounds good to me Rose as itβs great to be able to get out especially if the weathers nice. π
Not a lot, not working this Bank Holiday, enjoying the sun hopefully. ππ
Resting
Pottering in the garden, short walks close to home, blessed that family live close. Just going to enjoy the promised warm weather.
What country are you in? In the United States, we are observing and remembering all of the troops who died while fighting for their country. It's Memorial Day. God bless those fine, patriotic, mostly very young men. We don't care if the banks are open or not.
