Always have mostly eaten food prepared and cooked by myself, always will.

90% of the time. So much cheaper than buying ready meals, and you know what goes into them!

Its too expensivevtobbuy and too filled with junk additives

Always cook my own. Restaurants and pubs on special occasions. You know what goes in it and it's so much nicer and cheaper.

Yes, same here. Hate to waste anything, all our animals are well fed. Also, restaurants are for special occasions, and we are much aware that they are there to make money; not make us healthy.

Always I can put what I like into my cooking. No processed food I eat occasionally but even then I choose restaurants carefully, no preservatives or additives.

Now that I'm home I home cook everything, even breads! It's kind of hard if you're working full-time, commuting, plus doing everything else, I can see that. It would be great to see more whole-ingredient convenient foods for those who can't cook for themselves.

I worked for years and my husband likes it now that I stay home. It's just not easy to grow, prepare and cook without using a lot of time. When people ask me what I do now (like i'm bored or something) I know that they just don't get it. Also when others tell me that they eat "healthily"...I find out that they don't really know what "healthy" means. One friend told me that she eats all "chicken and fish"...she was talking about KFC and Long John Silver's...ate at drive-thru's for all meals.

I try to make meals from scratch it's a bit difficult because I'm out at work 8.30 till 6....

It's difficult to do while working...seems that it's just plain easier to eat bad food, that's why it's called "fast-food".

Yea totally understand. Out of the house 11 hours (with a 3 hour commute) and two teenagers to come home to cook for, clean, etc. I couldn't do it all the time either. I tried doing it on the weekends especially, just to keep things "real" as best I could.

I have been eating healthy for 7years now..

Had I been asked the question a year ago it would have been almost never. Now it is really unusual for me NOT to eat home made

Mostly I cook my own, it's much healthier and cheaper. Occasionally at restaurants but its too expensive and filled with junk preservatives.

Like Ms. Samira, I strictly prepare my own food, and if ever would always bring my own packed lunched at work, in that way I really know what I eat and what I put in my own food.

I am not a fan of fast-foods or restaurant, I am more of a "Homemade food" type of person.

I am retired, so no excuse for not eating well. I like following recipes, and make more so I can freeze into portions. The problem with me is i hate throwing anything away, and before I know it I have swallowed it!

I gave up smoking, so food tastes so fantastic!

Processed foods and having takeaways more than once a fortnight is something l avoid, mainly because processed foods like bacon and ham etc., are throught to be bad for us if eaten more than once a week. There are some good programmes on TV lately about healthy eating, such as Food Detectives.

I do love cooking from scratch anyway and it does not have to take a lot of time. One of my spaghetti dishes takes 20 mins from start to finish.
