Past injury getting worse

Is it unusual to have symptoms worsen significantly years (like 8 yrs) after a head injury? I feel like what used to be manageable pain and inconvenience is now completely crippling on a near daily basis

If something has dramatically changed then sounds like it’s worth bothering the doctor at some point.

I’m 6 or so years no pain bar occasional low ache where the skull fracture was, since it’s cold, I’m tired, or more likely just because!

I had seizures two years after my brain injury! Never had them before or after (with the right meds). This reply does not directly answer your question.

Everyone's head unjury is not the same. Although some things will get better, you may find some become more evident at times of stress or for example if there is another health issue that is impacting your ability to distinguish between your injury and illness- there can be a fine line between the two.

I have experienced two severe tbi from childhood and have good and bad days. What i do is have hobbies that help me relax, i say no to people who expect too much from me. Some days my processing of information is slow but another i can talk the hind leg off a donkey, why because it depends on what is going on in my life, if i have support and up to date brain injury information from Headway.

Read their online info on symptoms etc. Hope this helps.
