Hello
Hi Obiwan and welcome.
There are usually some of us around in the ether and feel free to chat away.
If you want to tell us a little more I'm sure people with similar experiences will pop in and chat.
Have you spoken with headway helpline ?
Have you had any rehabilitation?
Got to stop or I will ask questions till the cows come home.
Once again welcome.
Hi thanks for replying. I had some rehab years ago. My condition has worsened since but Dr only interested in handing different types of antidepressants now. Won't understand that my TBI brain can't cope with them full stop. Had to stop working again and I'm told I'm not eligible for PIP or any other support.
Hi Obiwan. It's nice to be on here. I definitely recommend the helpline. ☺
Welcome, for now I'll say:
GPs tend to know very little about a TBI and from everything I've been told a primary care health professional probably shouldn't be prescribing antidepressants.
We're always around to chat and why not try face to face at your local Headway group.
Oh and get yourself down to a CAB to see if you should be receiving PIP or any other benefit.
Thanks for that. I may see CAB
Hello, what is your brain damage, what type of injury do you have?
I don't know what 'type' it is exactly. I have three shadows on my brain. Damage to both frontal lobes, the hypothalamus, calabelum, the bits at the back where I had my impact and other bits. Classified as moderately severe brain injury. Do you have any idea what 'type' this might be? thanks for asking. How is yours?
