Morning. Yes I have used Craniosacral therapy for headaches. I am a tooth grinder/clencher and get terrible tension headaches. I found it very useful.

I was recommended this by a friend and had my first session on Monday. I have got a little bit worse over the last couple of days but I was told that it's often the case. The therapist I'm seeing has said that post-concussion headaches are very treatable within a few sessions.

Thank you Clare, let me know if you improve in the next couple of days as I'm also looking into this to help with my headaches.

Hi, yes, I tried it for the chronic awful headache I had after a TBI. Didn't know what to expect, just had a hunch it might be the right thing.

The therapist was incredibly gentle - in fact it felt like she barely touched me! - but the next day I felt really battered and exhausted. Once that wore off, though, I began to notice the improvements almost immediately. After just a few weekly sessions (each one tired me out, so I couldn't cope with more than one a week) my headache was down from 'almost unbearable' to 'mildly annoying background'. It never came back.

Hope CS therapy helps you too. :)

Hi Louise,

I haven't tried Craniosacral but have found drinking plenty of water helps to prevent headaches. Nurofen helps too...;-)

I go for craniosacral therapy sometimes, not for headaches, but because I read it is generally good following brain injury. I find it incredibly relaxing and when I've been I usually get a much better nights sleep.
