How difficult was it to get your HHD diagnosis?

It was easy because a relative had been diagnosed.I was diagnosed with the wrong disease first.It took several years for a correct diagnosis..I have seen more than one dermatologist to get a diagnosis.My dermatologist recognized it as HHD immediately.My dermatologist had never seen a case of it before.Other. Please say more in a comment.

I was diagnosed with shingles first, then herpes simplex, then poison ivy.......After a ten day steroid pack, a new derm figured it out (along with me asking if it was HHD because my father had it)
